Ph.D. student members must acquire 14 ECTS points, of which a minimum of 7 ECTS points should be from our courses. Additionally, we recommend attending at least one summer course. This means that a PhD student member follows at least two courses and one summer school with us. Other ECTS points can be acquired by following other courses (often methodological courses on measurement and data analysis or soft-skill courses such as presentation skills).
Overview of ECTS points that are awarded to courses:
- Doctoral Program courses: Usually 1-2 ECTS per course
- Doctoral Program summer courses: Usually 3 ECTS per summer course
- External courses: A maximum of 2 ECTS per external course. The amount of ECTS depends on the study load of the course. When you plan to follow an external course, please get in touch with the doctoral program coordinator for information about whether and how many ECTS credits will be awarded.
- Conference presentations: 1 ECTS per presentation. Note that students can receive a maximum of 2 ECTS credit points for conference presentations.
